So I'm a bit of a book worm and I feel like I always read more in summer. I have made a list of books that I think you'd love to read whilst sunbathing in the garden or whilst on holiday! I've got a mixture so hopefully there's something everyone will enjoy!
1. 13 Reasons Why - Jay Asher. This book is phenomenal, I discovered this book a few years ago and recently watched the TV series on Netflix. The book is quite different from the TV series as you only really hear the tapes and you never know how the other characters have been affected. For those who have no idea about 13 reasons why it is about a girl named Hannah Baker that sadly commits suicide. Before she committed suicide she taped 13 reasons why she killed herself and who influenced her to make that decision. Your hear the tapes through the Clay Jensen who has no idea why he is on the tapes and what he did to Hannah...
2. Gone Girl - Gillian Flynn. This book has been made into a film but the book is amazing! It is 463 pages long and I read it in about 3 or 4 days I just couldn't put it down. I personally find the book more interesting as it has more detail and you feel more suspense when reading it. Nick Dunne wakes up on his wedding anniversary, goes for a run and comes home to find his wife missing. Amy his wife looks like she has been abducted but something at the crime scene doesn't add up and the police suspect Nick has something to do with his wife's disappearance...
3. The Girl on the Train - Paula Hawkins. Another book that's been made into a film, oops. This book is another mystery/suspense read and it's another book you won't be able to put down! The main character Rachel is going through a bit of a rough patch, shes lost her house, her husband and her job but still takes the same train as she always would to work. She starts to feel like she knows some people that lives in one of the houses on the way to work but one day she sees something out of the ordinary and everything changes.
4. The Potion Diaries - Amy Alward. This book is more aimed to those that like Young Adult reads. I first heard about this book when Zoella was doing her book club and it sounded really good. The princess of Nova has poisoned herself with love potion that was meant for her crush but instead falls in love with her reflection! A nationwide hunt is called to find a cure for the princess with people finding the rarest and deadliest ingredients there are! Samantha Kemi's family was one of the most respected alchemist families but their reputation fell and winning this hunt will save their reputation!
5. The Host - Stephenie Meyer. This book is by the same author of the Twilight saga so if you like them books you will probably like this. Earth has been invaded by a species that takes over the mind's of human hosts. Melanie Stryder however refuses to be taken over by "wanderer." Melanie fills Wanderer's thoughts with visions of Jared, a human that has not yet been taken over. Wanderer starts to fall for this man she has never met but reluctantly, Wanderer and Melanie set off to find the man they love.
